In September of 2016 Camp Lucy welcomed five Alpaca.
An Alpaca is a domesticated species of the South American camelid. It resembles a small llama in appearance. The Camp Lucy Alpaca were raised locally in Texas but are of the Huayaca breed.
Our five Alpaca live in a Palace, located in the field in front of Whit's Inn. These animals are available to our Camp Lucy brides for wedding and engagement photo shoots, as a unique activity for our cottage guests and as therapy for the many local philanthropic organizations that we work with as part of our on-going dedication to serving our local community and those in need.
