Which serving style suits your event?

November 15, 2022

Aside from your decorations, one of the best ways to customize your event is through your menu items – from finger foods and entrees to desserts. At Camp Lucy, we offer many different dishes and service styles to fit the needs of your space and preferences.

Choosing how you will serve and display your food is dependent on the design of your event & the type of guests you are having attend.

Well let’s get into each service style and what makes each one great! Keep reading…

Tex-mex Taco Station

This menu style is convenient for guests to graze and choose between different items as they please. A buffet display helps keep food organized, easily replenished, and within reach throughout your event and/or dinner service. This is a great option to feed large guest counts!

Baby Arugula Panzanella Salad

This meal style is delivered to each table on communal-style dishes. This dining experience allows your guests to enjoy each other’s company throughout dinner without ever having to leave their seats, wait for their plate, or wait in line.

Miso Glazed Chilean Seabass

This meal style has been artfully plated to be served to guests simultaneously. Once dinner service is over, plates will be removed to create a clear table for the remainder of the event. This style is a great fit for those seeking an efficient and beautifully-presented meal directly to each guest.

Lavish Local & Imported Cheese and Charcuterie Station among other dishes

HORS D’OEUVRES – These are the small bites that will be passed around to your guests during the social hour of your event. There are two types:

  • Passed hors d’oeuvres will be served directly to your guests by a member of our team.
  • Stationary hors d’oeuvres are lavish displays in which guests can serve themselves at their leisure.

LIVE-ACTION STATIONS – Customize dishes with a live-action chef to serve your guests on-site. Can be incorporated into cocktail hour or kept guests fed during the party after dinner service.

PHAT BITES – These are late-night bite options to keep your guests leaving full and happy! These can be served both passed or stationary.

DESSERTS – This option can be served in addition to your traditional wedding cake or stand alone as your dessert for the evening, whether plated or on a buffet line.
