Holiday Bucket list in Austin, Texas

The holiday season is closing in on us but there is still time to celebrate outdoors with your friends and family. Over the last few weeks, spend time ice skating downtown Austin to a holiday lights stroll in Wimberley.

 

1. Rooftop Ice Skating at Whole Foods Market off of Lamar

  • 11a – 9pm daily
  • Tickets: $10 per person (includes skate rental)

 

2. Holiday Art Camp in Bee Cave

  • December 19th – 22nd
  • Children: $195
  • Have fun creating Holiday themed art and artists will perhaps walk away with Holiday gifts for their loved ones!

 

3. Santa’s Ranch in New Braunfels

  • November 11th – January 1st
  • Sunday – Friday: 6p – 10pm | Friday – Saturday 6p – 11pm
  • $35 Tax Included Per Vehicle or $70 Tax Included Per Vehicle For A Season Pass Drive through the light trail

 

4. The EmilyAnn Trail of Lights in Wimberley

  • December 3 -4 , 7 -11 , 14 -23 , 26
  • Free: Donations
  • Walking trail of 8 acres worth of lights
  • Live entertainment
  • Complimentary marshmallows and hot chocolate
  • Santa Claus meet & greet

 

5. Christmas Wine Affair in the Texas Hill Country

  • November 28th – December 23rd
  • Couples: $100; Individuals: $65
  • Full complimentary tasting at each participating winery with a limit of 4 wineries a day (one tasting for singles, two tastings for couples – couples are ANY two people but both must be present together for tastings)
  • A custom barcode that will serve as your Digital Tasting ‘Passport’ will be scanned at each participating winery that you visit.
  • 15% discount on 3-bottle purchases from each participating winery (winery choice and/or discount may exclude reserves, ports, and wines already discounted)

 

6. Visit a local holiday pop-up bar around Austin

  • Visit your favorite local bar turn winter wonderland! From Gibson Street Bar, Nickle City, Lala’s to Miracle on 5th.
